New Case Study: BoldApproach.org

Launched the second in my new series of case studies that highlight design and development process, as well as the features, of some of my recent projects. The second one is on BoldApproach.org.

New Case Study: InvestigatingPower.org

Just finished up my first project case study on the recently launched InvestigatingPower.org. It is a great project that I'm proud be be part of and so far it seems that others like it as well. I'm planning to complete several additional case studies in the coming weeks.

ReadyNation Pledge to Support Early Childhood Policies

Launched the ReadyNation Pledge, a new component of the ReadyNation website that collects "signatures" from organizations and individuals that want to support early childhood education policies. The site collects basic information, stores it in a database, and allows my client to contact signatories, as well as moderate, export, and analyze the data. Signatories are also […]

AJAX and jQuery Pagination with Twitter Bootstrap on Debate the Debt

Put together some jQuery, PHP, and mySQL to create an AJAX pagination system for the signatories on DebateTheDebt.org. I then applied it to Twitter Bootstrap's default pagination markup. (Wouldn't it be nice if the T-BS guys added something like this to the JS components?) UPDATE: I also added this to ReadyNation.org. In this instance, I tweaked […]

Launched: Charles-Lewis.com

Wow–this was website #3 this week. I'm tired. But, it was great to get this one up for my client, Charles Lewis, a best-selling author, journalist, professor, and founder of the Center for Public Integrity (among other things). We started working on it a few year ago and due to his very, very busy schedule, […]

Launched: Debate the Debt

This new website, developed for the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget, is the online center piece of a new initiative to get the 2012 presidential candidates to have a debate about the federal budget. I got the call around 7PM from the client telling me they needed something up by first thing the next […]

Launched: Investigating Power

Wow, to think that IE7, followed by IE6, were the most popular browsers when I was first enlisted on this project! Nearly five years later, after many starts, stops, and re-starts as the content was refined, InvestigatingPower.org is live. I can't imagine many other projects that could have maintained my interest and dedication like this […]

Launched: Presidential Candidate Budget Comparison Tool

Although it seems a little late in the game, CRFB had me launch a new tool that allows you to compare the budget plans of the leading presidential candidates. I suspect they'll add President Obama's plan soon enough. The site is clearly a rendition of the deficit reduction plan comparisison tool that I designed and […]

Launched: Beat the Debt

Beat the Debt was a quick turn-around project that went from a paper outline to a fully functional, albeit simple, site in 3 business days. I was responsible for the information architecture via a wireframe, basic design and branding (including a basic logo), and the coding/development.
