The 20 Minute Website

A friend’s need for a website for their small business turned into a personal challenge. What’s the fastest way to get a free, simple website up and running, from absolute scratch? One answer appears to be using a combination of GitHub and CloudFlare.

  • Choose a domain name, register it
  • Create a new private repo on GitHub with a simple HTML page (with initial AI generated content)
  • Create a site on CloudFlare
  • Connect GitHub repo and CloudFlare

Et voila, done. In literally 20 minutes. The website was live. Introducing French with Maud. And if you’re looking to learn French, you won’t find a better tutor!
